Jessica Alba is back on the big screen and kicking butt in the new Netflix action thriller “Trigger Warning.” In a recent interview, Jessica Alba opened up about her 16-year marriage with Cash Warren, her competitive game nights with celebrities, and her empowering approach to her latest film role.
Despite being one of Hollywood’s most glamorous stars, Jessica Alba says her “whole world shifted” when she became a mom to her now 16-year-old daughter Honor. She got emotional recalling how motherhood introduced her to a “depth of love” she’d never known before. Though Honor declined Alba’s offer to plan an over-the-top sweet sixteen party.
Jessica Alba’s life
Jessica Alba revealed her husband Cash has been unimpressed by her celebrity status since his own father was a famous actor when he was young. She credits his level headed perspective for being key to their two-decade marriage. “He definitely sees me for who I am as a human being and loves me despite all of my flaws,” Alba shared.
The couple love hosting competitive game nights at home, though Jessica Alba admits her intensely competitive brother and father make for tough opponents. She says her celebrity friends also go hard when playing games like charades, Mafia and “Celebrity” at their place.
Upcoming Movie
For “Trigger Warning,” Jessica Alba was determined to deliver a realistic and multidimensional female action hero. As a producer on the film, she assembled a predominantly female crew and writer to depict the character through “a feminine lens.” While still “tough as nails,” Alba wanted to show the character’s softer sides like grieving her dad and maintaining friendships.

The role demanded intense physical training in stunts and choreography – skills Jessica Alba first honed on the 2000s TV series “Dark Angel.” But the entrepreneurial star was eager to take on the challenges of the genre she’d been mostly denied during her years as a Hollywood leading lady. “This to me was like if I can think of the exact opposite this is what I want to do,” she explained of her badass return to action movies.
